| Apple TV+’ Officially Renamed to ‘Apple TV’ |
Apple announced the rebranding of its streaming service from Apple TV+ to Apple TV in a press release promoting the December 12 debut of the film 'F1' starring Brad Pitt. Simplifying the name is the goal of the change, which has been criticized by users and tech analysts for possibly confusing it with the current Apple TV hardware and app. The change is said to give the platform a vibrant new identity. Although there have been no reports of any immediate changes to subscriptions or interfaces, some critics point out the overlaps in Apple's TV ecosystem while others applaud the cleaner branding.
