Rookie sensations Jaxson Dart and Cam Skattebo teamed up for five touchdowns, powering the New York Giants to a statement 34–17 win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday Night Football.
Dart, making just his third NFL start since being drafted 25th overall in 2025, delivered both through the air and on the ground—throwing one touchdown and running for another. Meanwhile, fourth-round pick Skattebo bulldozed his way to 98 rushing yards and three touchdowns, sealing a night to remember for the Giants’ young duo.
With their performance, Dart and Skattebo hit multiple historic marks, as well as continuing to breathe new life into a Giants organization which has struggled for success in recent years.
The duo’s energy has quickly become a hit in New York — from their synced celebrations to those viral postgame clips capped off with Skattebo’s now-iconic scream. Their chemistry isn’t just on the field; it’s become part of the Giants’ new identity.
After toppling the defending champion Eagles, Skattebo opened up about the bond he and Dart have built since landing in the Big Apple, calling it a connection rooted in trust, grind, and a shared chip on their shoulders.
“Me and him do a lot of things on the side together, talk a lot together about kind of getting this turned around,” the 23-year-old told reporters. “Not doing it on our own, but getting everyone to buy in and continue to stay positive and work to be better.
“The franchise has had its struggles the past few years,” Skattebo said. “But that’s not who we are anymore. We’re building something different — every single day, brick by brick. It’s about keeping that positive mindset, shaking off that old losing mentality. We got the win tonight, and you could feel that shift in every guy out there.”
The Giants hadn’t beaten a reigning Super Bowl champion since 1998 so Thursday’s clash against the star-studded Eagles looked like a tall task on paper.
New York came out flying, jumping to a 13–3 lead in the first quarter. Dart opened the scoring with a 20-yard sprint to the end zone, then hit Wan’Dale Robinson on a 35-yard strike to keep the momentum rolling.
Philadelphia clawed back with a pair of long, grinding touchdown drives that silenced MetLife Stadium and flipped the score to 17–13 midway through the second quarter.
But from there, it was all Dart and Skattebo — a rookie masterclass. The Eagles never found the end zone again as the Giants’ young guns took complete control of the night.
